The present Avid workflow is doable, just clunky. With FCP, an editor gets immediate viewing, but has to render before doing any work beyond cuts and dissolves. Root6’s Content Agent has developed a fast efficient DNxHD conversion process. Additionally, the flexibility of the system enables multiple other automated conversion processes. If you have not seen ContentAgent and work with lots of footage which needs re-purposing, this will be a very informative event. With Lunch included, Key Code Media debunks the myth that “there’s no free lunch”
